In the project 'Calm within Chaos', I wanted to explore reactions and emotions in an intimate setting where nudity is present, but without emphasizing sexuality. My goal was to shift the focus from the idea that nudity always implies excitement or sexuality, to an atmosphere of relaxation and comfort. I was particularly interested in understanding human emotions and reactions in such a context.
The women appearing in the photos exude a noticeable sense of relaxation and comfort, despite the nudity around them. I was fascinated by how they seemed to experience a kind of inner peace, without any embarrassment or disruptive influence of nudity.
At the same time, I also wanted to explore the underlying unrest that could manifest in this situation. Perhaps the unrest lies more in looking at these photos than in the situation itself.
